Appointment in the Garden 2024. By APGI

The event Appointment in the Garden 2024, organized by the APGI-Italian Parks and Gardens Association, is scheduled for Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024, with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the ANCI-National Association of Italian Municipalities.

The cultural event, which was conceived as a real “garden festival”, was born in accordance with the Rendez-vous aux jardins initiative, which takes place simultaneously in over 20 European countries with the aim of inviting the great public to discover all the botanical, historical-artistic and landscape richness of Italian gardens, many of which are normally closed and therefore cannot be visited.

The theme of the 2024 edition - which changes every year - is The five senses in the garden, and as in past editions, it involves gardeners, botanists, landscapers, private owners and public managers, important foundations and associations in order to describe and talk about the garden from all points of view, such as its environmental and cultural importance, its relevance to the community and, above all, to inform the public about the activities necessary to care for, restore and protect the gardens.
