The warm embrace of autumn, with its soft and enveloping light, transforms it into a symphony of colors and fragrances, immersing us in a unique and evocative atmosphere. The Roseto di Roma Capitale will once again open its gates to the public from 24 October to 10 November, to allow visitors and tourists to admire for 18 days, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the autumn blossoming of one of the most extraordinary botanical collections of roses.
With its spectacular location and magnificent view that sweeps from the Circus Maximus to the Palatine Hill, the bell tower of Santa Maria in Cosmedin and the Vittoriano, the Rose Garden is a corner of peace and harmony on the slopes of the Aventine Hill. It is home to more than a thousand varieties of ancient and modern roses from all over the world, from the Far East to South Africa, from New Zealand to the Americas. Some botanical rose species date back as far as 40 million years, but all are of great originality and beauty.
Admission to the Rose Garden is free of charge. For guided tours, please write to rosetoromacapitale@comune.roma.it.
