Formula E, the single seater motorsport championship that uses only electric cars, does not stop and its special relationship with Rome: the city council has in fact approved a resolution that extends until 2025 the collaboration between the Municipality of Rome and the organization of the world Formula E ABB FIA championship.
The 2020 edition of the Rome E-Prix of Rome has been canceled due to the coronavirus emergency, but the electric single-seaters will return to show and compete in the coming years on the Eur circuit, a nerve center that constitutes the Business District of the Capital, with an event of great international prestige.
After all, Formula E is not only a moment of sport, aggregation and fun but also a laboratory for testing technologies and innovations, showing the world the potential of electricity as a decidedly more sustainable alternative to combustion engines. And there is more: the event guarantees an important legacy to the city of Rome, with a turnover of over 60 million euros in 2019, 35 thousand spectators around the circuit and over six million on TV worldwide.
