Over 100 musical performances scheduled in more than 50 venues around the city exceptionally open to the public at night, from 8 o’clock in the evening on Saturday 25 November: true to tradition, once again this year Musei in Musica, the historic event of the city's autumn promoted by the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali with the organisation of Zètema Progetto Cultura, closed with an extraordinary success.
The success of the event, this year coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, is testified by the steady turnout, which recorded staggering numbers. Among Romans, intrigued tourists and full families, there were over 31,000 visitors who braved the coldest temperatures at the end of November until 2 a.m. to experience a night of music, entertainment and culture and attend the live shows in the city’s major art and cultural venues, in the Civic Museums, universities, academies, embassies and foreign institutes.
The Civic Museums alone welcomed a total of over 16 thousand visitors. A large audience greeted, at the Museo dell’Ara Pacis, the special guests of the 2023 edition, Francesco Renga and Nek Filippo Neviani, protagonists of an evocative and involving performance. Equally well attended were the performances hosted at the Musei Capitolini (around 3,000 visitors), the Musei di Villa Torlonia and the Centrale Montemartini (around 2,000 visitors at both sites). The influx figures of other city spaces, such as the Polo Museale della Sapienza - University of Rome, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni and the Acquario Romano – Casa dell’Architettura, were also significant.
