With the resumption of works coordinated by Roma Metropolitane on behalf of Roma Capitale to extend the metro C line from San Giovanni to the Colosseum and allow the interchange with metro B, from 7 January until 27 June the metro C service will undergo some changes for the necessary technical work.
During this entire phase of the works, train circulation ends at 8.30 p.m. from Pantano and at 9 p.m. from San Giovanni. Trains are therefore replaced by the MC Express (San Giovanni-via Casilina-Pantano) and MC3 (San Giovanni-Parco di Centocelle) bus lines, operating from Sunday to Thursday until 11.30 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1.30 a.m. The MC express line stops near all stations except Malatesta, Teano, Gardenie and Mirti. An extraordinary stop is on via Casilina at the corner with via di Torpignattara to allow interchange with the important bus line 409, which connects Tiburtina station to the metro A station Arco di Travertino and corresponds with the FL lines, the metro A, B, C and the Termini-Centocelle railway line. The MC3 bus line connects the San Giovanni and Centocelle stations and passes near the Malatesta, Teano, Gardenie and Mirti stations, which are not served by the MC express line.
