Rome Fiumicino Airport consolidates its leadership in Europe, confirming for the eighth consecutive time its status as the best airport for the quality of services offered to travellers in the hub category with over 40 million passengers.
The Airports Council International (ACI) World, the international category association of airports worldwide, awarded the recognition through the ‘Airport Service Quality’ (ASQ) survey, carried out in collaboration with Amadeus, a leading travel technology company. Following the survey, which collected the opinions of around 700,000 travellers in 360 global airports, based on more than 30 indicators related to their experience, and involving 119 European airports, the Leonardo da Vinci Airport achieved an extraordinary score of 4.61 on a rating scale of 1 to 5. A record-breaking first position: besides the Best Airport Award, the Roman hub was again awarded in all other categories - Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe, Easiest Airport Journey in Europe, Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe and Cleanest Airport in Europe - proving the excellence of the services and the commitment of the operator company.
The exceptional result sees the launch of ‘Adryx’, Leonardo da Vinci's new mascot and the protagonist of ADR's communication campaign, with which passengers can interact to obtain exclusive gadgets, have fun with challenges, quizzes and interactive airport-themed games, and discover curiosities and helpful tips for an even smoother travel experience.
Ciampino Giovan Battista Pastine Airport also won, for the second time in a row, the ‘Best Airport in Europe between 2 and 5 million passengers per year’ title, also receiving, for the first time, the award as ‘Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe’.
