It may be the shortest month of the year, the only one to count 28 or 29 days, but its calendar of events and festivities is certainly second to none: just think of Valentine’s Day, one of the world's most pop and celebrated holidays ever. Even in the Musei in Comune, the Roma Capitale museum network that ranges from prehistory to modern and contemporary art, February has an extraordinarily rich program of events in store, including guided tours, meetings, workshops and special projects capable of engaging all audiences.
To celebrate the highlight days of carnival, the craziest and most carefree festival of the year, from 10 to 13 February, “Carnevale...a regola d'arte!” will feature once again this year a huge number of events, specifically designed for children, to have fun, dress up, and get to know the city’s museums and cultural heritage. But Rome is also the city of love and on 14 February the Capitoline Superintendence celebrates the day dedicated to all lovers with themed visits and itineraries in the heart of the city as part of “RomAmor a prima vista”. Finally, on 18 February it is the turn of Darwin Day, the day established to mark the anniversary of the birth of the naturalist father of the theory of evolution. In Rome, the Museo di Casal de’ Pazzi will organize scientific workshops on the theme of evolution to remember together the values of scientific research and rational thought.
The full program of events is being finalized.
