XII Giornata Nazionale dell'ADSI 2022 - Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane

A journey through history to discover Italian largest widespread museum: more than 400 villas, palaces, fortresses, castles and gardens open for free to the public in the traditional spring appointment organized by the Italian Historic Houses Association. The event offers the opportunity to rediscover the beauties of our country, sometimes still little known, and represents an opportunity to promote sustainable and widespread tourism.

There are 10 places that can be visited exceptionally in Rome and its province. Among these are some magnificent courtyards of ancient buildings in the historic centre of the city - including the 16th-century Palazzo Massimo Lancelotti De Torres, overlooking Piazza Navona, Palazzo Serlupi Crescenzi, a stone's throw from the Pantheon, Palazzo Grazioli in via del Plebiscito, but also the stables of Palazzo Ruspoli, the seat of the Memmo Foundation since 1990. Numerous artistic jewels in the surroundings of Rome also open their doors to visitors, such as the garden, the church and the main floor of the Castle of Torre in Pietra - a wonderful architectural complex among pristine woods - the museum rooms of the Castle Odescalchi of Bracciano, imposing building on the shores of the lake, the archaeological park of Trebula Suffenàs - Villa Manni in Ciciliano and the 16th-century Palazzo Ruspoli in Cerveteri.

The event includes many initiatives promoted by the owners of the residences for the Giornata Nazionale: exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances for audiences of all ages, and the usual photo contest dedicated to Instagram users, in collaboration with Photolux.

As in past editions, the initiative benefits from the collaboration of the Associazione Nazionale Case della Memoria e Federmatrimoni ed Eventi Privati (Federmep). It has received the patronage of the Italian National Commission for Unesco, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism and ENIT - National Tourism Agency.
