After successful stops in some Italian cities, Wines from Extreme Lands, an event created by Pilota Green and assisted by Andrea Petrini, wine blogger and events manager of Slow Food Roma, finally arrives in Rome with a two-day event at the Hotel Palatino, a few steps from the Colosseum.
The wine event, now in its thirteenth edition - the second in the capital - represents the most important Italian commercial promotion event whose main objective is to enhance and make known to an ever-wider public the viticulture built with great effort over the of the centuries by generations of "heroic" farmers who by necessity had to and knew how to cultivate their vineyards in inhospitable territories and in geographically inaccessible areas, often in very narrow areas of land close to the mountains or the sea.
In fact, thanks to this event, which confirms itself as a privileged meeting point with the best winemaking tradition of our country, can be showed to an increasingly wider audience a true heritage which, with tenacity, a few passionate winemakers continue to safeguard by giving us extraordinary, rare and precious wines - production is limited to a few thousand bottles - due to their unique characteristics.
The event is aimed at both professionals in the sector and simple wine enthusiasts who in this Roman stop have the opportunity to learn about and taste the best production of labels, in an ideal route that crosses our Peninsula and beyond, also touching Greece.
On the programme, in addition to the two days of walk around tasting, there are also MasterClasses reserved for a selected audience by reservation and moments of in-depth analysis on the "heroic" wines.
