Tennis and Friends 2025

This year too the new edition of Tennis and Friends – Health and Sport returns on May 10th in Piazza del Popolo, offering the opportunity to carry out free screenings for the diagnosis and prevention of diseases, thanks to the collaboration and patronage of the Ministry of Health. Because of this fundamental participation of the Ministry, from 2011 to today the event has carried out over 285,000 visits and free check-ups, extending over the years to various regions.

In particular, the doctors of the ASL Roma 1 offer mammograms, gynecological visits with Pap tests, HPV, Herpes Zorster and meningococcus vaccines, HCV screening and delivery of tubes for colorectal cancer screening. The Italian Society of Urology will also perform medical consultations and distribute informational material on urological prevention, while rapid blood tests will be performed by the Guardia di Finanza health team. The event on Saturday 10 May is hosted by Veronica Maya and will see, among the guests, Edoardo Bove, Fiorentina midfielder, who suffered cardiac arrest last 1 December during a Serie A match and was saved by the timely intervention of resuscitation doctors; Bove will take to the field paired with a player from the Italian internationals for the famous celibrity cup, A volée for health in support of prevention. Not to be missed is also the appointment with the Born Donors of the State Police association, participating in the Tennis and Friends – Special Edition event with a mobile station in Piazza del Popolo to offer the possibility of donating blood and, at the same time, providing information and spreading the culture of giving.

The event is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Minister for Sport and Youth, the Lazio Region, Rome Capital, the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, Salute Lazio and Asl Roma 1. Organized since the first edition in collaboration with the healthcare staff of the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli Foundation and CONI, Tennis & Friends is based on the combination of health and sport, for the development of psychophysical well-being and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
