Shine - Pink Floyd Moon

Micha Van Hoecke’s rock opera arrives at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone on the occasion of Roma Summer Fest 2023, with live musical accompaniment by Pink Floyd Legend and dancers from Compagnia Daniele Cipriani.

The starting point for the creation of the famous choreographer/director Micha Van Hoecke is the music of Pink Floyd, and in particular the famous song “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”, in which the four Pink Floyds paid tribute to their partner Syd Barrett, lost in the unknown regions of the “moon”, understood as mental illness. Played by Raffaele Paganini, former étoile of the Balletto dell’Opera di Roma, Syd/Paganini has a young, darting alter ego (Mattia Tortora) and is joined by the brilliant talents of Compagnia Daniele Cipriani, while the psychedelic sound and bewitching lyrics of Pink Floyd are interpreted live by today’s acclaimed Italian band Pink Floyd Legend (musical director Fabio Castaldi).
