Sabato Blu 2023

'Sabato Blu' is the day of open collective mobilisation that Roma Capitale dedicates to urban walk, adhering to the XI Giornata nazionale del camminare of FederTrek, that has been promoting walking as knowledge of the territory and environmental protection.

Fifteen thematic urban trekking routes, one for each municipality, accompanied by FederTrek volunteers among the wonders of Rome; routes that integrate for a new sociality and to rediscover the city, improving its environmental qualities, thanks to the reduction of atmospheric pollutants, CO2 emissions, Nox and transport-related particulate matter.

Walking is a zero-impact activity that has great benefits on our health; it relieves anxiety and daily stress and is an unmissable opportunity to reappropriate the city, encourage actions designed to improve air quality, and promote sustainable mobility.

In fact, for each trail, which you can join on sabatoblu.roma.it, a map is available with the route and characteristics, including a calculation of the CO2 emissions saved by renouncing the use of motor vehicles.

'Sabato Blu' is also an incentive to create one's pedestrian routes, actual urban paths, designed by each of us to reach places of interest such as hospitals, schools, libraries, and municipal offices by alternative modes to car mobility.
