«The writer is someone who, when he goes up a tree, the tree blooms.» Alberto Moravia
Più libri più liberi is the first Italian fair dedicated exclusively to independent publishing. It was born in December 2002 from an idea of the Gruppo Piccoli Editori dell’Associazione Italiana Editori to give visibility to the most significant possible number of little publishing houses. It is a space to illustrate their production, often obscured by larger enterprises.
Più libri più liberi is a five days happening with a rich cultural program and over 650 events. Here, you can meet authors, attend readings and musical performances, and listen to debates in a succession of events for all tastes and ages at La Nuvola, Rome's most innovative congress center designed by the arch star Massimiliano Fuksas.
Più libri più liberi also returns with a unique program for schools. Teachers and students can participate in workshops, readings, and meetings in the Spazio Ragazzi and the fair halls, thanks to the partnership with the Istituto Biblioteche di Roma.
The event features the PLPL Business Centre, 500 square meters for the exclusive use of professional operators, and the meeting point for all the actors of the Italian and international publishing world interested in dialogue with publishers.
