
For its historic 27th edition, Oktagon Tsunami returns to Rome on 29 June with a spectacular evening at the Palazzetto dello Sport - PalaTiziano. The event is held under the auspices of CSEN (sports promotion organization) and in collaboration with Carlo Di Blasi’s Fight1.
Oktagon is the spearhead of the Italian fighting scene and an unmissable international spectacle with challenges of the highest level. There are 34 participating athletes (including 22 Italians), with 10 nations represented from three continents (Europe, Africa and Asia), for a total of 17 Kickboxing, Thai Boxing and MMA bouts and 3 ISKA - International Sport Kickboxing Association world titles.
The main event of the evening is the ISKA world championship in the category up to 95 kg (equivalent to heavyweight). Roman kickboxer Mattia Faraoni, the reigning champion of the category, defends the title he has held for two years now in the match against Dănuț Hurduc, the Romanian champion known as “The Happy Killer” with a score of 46 victories out of 52 fights.
