Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere

The Casa del Cinema hosts the third edition of Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, the film festival in Rome celebrating the twinning with Paris, realised by Lutetia and Palatine in collaboration with Fondazione Cinema per Roma.

The festival opens with a tribute to François Truffaut, forty years after his death, with the screening of his last work, Vivement Dimanche!, a light-hearted hymn to comedy, cinema, and life: actress and director Carolina Pavone will introduce the film.

The following day, Alice Winocour will take the spectator inside a powerful story of reconstruction with her Revoir Paris, while on Monday 15 Mia Hansen-Løve will narrate, with Un beau matin, a Paris made up of lived life and impossible balances.

Also on the programme are two different coming-of-age stories that open a window on the languages of the present: Stella est amoureuse will see the presence of director Sylvie Verheyde and leading actress Flavie Delangle, while the screening of Chien de la Casse will be attended by director Jean-Baptiste Durand and actress Galatea Bellugi.

During the festival, the Casa del Cinema will also host the photographic exhibition "10 to Watch" dedicated to the protagonists of new French cinema.

On the opening and final evenings there will be live streaming with the sister festival Dolcevita-sur-Seine, which will take place simultaneously at the Arènes de Lutèce in Paris.

Welcoming the audience each evening will be Aureliano Tonet, film critic for Le Monde.
