NoGravity - Dall'inferno al paradiso

The Teatro Olimpico hosts the evocative show of NoGravity, the performing arts company directed by artists Emiliano Pellisari and Mariana/P, inspired by the wonders of classical Italian art.

With a new production and a new choreographic and technical setting, Dall'Inferno al Paradiso (From Hell to Paradise) is a magical and dream-like journey that sees on stage six extraordinary dancers accompanying the protagonist Mariana/P against the backdrop of a scenic space that, recalling Leonardo's Renaissance and Kircher's Baroque theatrical tricks, creates spectacular optical illusions.

Between geometric movements and impeccable acts of unbelievable beauty, the dancers fill the theatre space up to the ceiling, giving life to symbols and drawings of Magritte's and Caravaggio's suggestions, dancing, walking upside down, flying, simultaneously reflected by a large mirror and defying the laws of physics, following the choreographic technique of Mariana/P, who, covered in wet fabrics, ropes and rags, is suspended in the air. 

No definition can fully capture this extraordinary world: dance-illusion, dance-sculpture, figurative theatre and physical theatre come together in one marvellous experience, which, among movement, light, poetry and sound, continues to enchant international audiences.
