From 15 to 17 November, the Saxophone Museum in Fiumicino will host the 2nd edition of the INTERNATIONAL SAXOPHONE MEETING, an international event organised in collaboration with the Saxophone Association Thailand (SAT), the S. Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome and the Brazilian saxophone manufacturer J. Elle Stainer. Cecilia Conservatory of Rome and the Brazilian manufacturer J'Elle Stainer, and will feature artists from Thailand, Taiwan, China, Canada and Italy, all united by their passion for the saxophone.All the events, musical guided tours, master classes and concerts in the programme are free of charge upon purchase of the museum entrance ticket.
SAT is an organisation strongly committed to promoting the cultural significance of the saxophone in the Asian world, and its main objective is a long cherished dream of studying the Saxophone Museum with a view to establishing a similar one in Asia. SAT is therefore thrilled to have embarked on a journey of over 9,000 km to share common goals and passions that will include study days, detailed tours of the museum's collections and live concerts to be offered to the community featuring SAT members themselves, the winners of the first Thailand International Saxophone Classical and Jazz Competition and other renowned international artists and university professors of the highest calibre.
