Giornate FAI d'Autunno 2024

Palaces, villas, churches, castles, archaeological sites, museums, libraries, artisan workshops and examples of industrial archaeology, but also parks, gardens, botanical gardens and historic courtyards, little-known or unusual and curious places, some of which are usually inaccessible. There are more than 700 sites extraordinarily open to the public in 360 Italian cities during the FAI Autumn Days, one of the most important and popular public events dedicated to the cultural heritage and landscape and the discovery of Italy’s hidden treasures.

On the weekend of 12 and 13 October, in Rome we can, for example, go on a discovery tour of the Janiculum Hill, retracing the history of the Fontanone del Gianicolo and exploring its small secret garden with one of the city’s most beautiful views, or immersing ourselves in the suspended atmosphere of the Bosco Parrasio, the enchanted home of the prestigious Accademia dell’Arcadia since 1725. Also opening exceptionally are the majestic and richly decorated rooms of Palazzo Sciarra on Via del Corso, the elegant Villa Bonaparte and the American Academy in Rome, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in Italy, founded in 1894 and still committed to supporting the work of artists and scholars.
