Rome hosts ElectroKids, the first festival of digital art and video mapping dedicated to kids and families hosted in the VR Arena spaces of Casilino Sky Park.
An extraordinary mix of inventiveness and technology that for sixteen days accompanies you in a unique experience among lights, sounds and spectacular images, with the presence of Italian and international artists who reveal the fantastic universe of new multimedia technologies.
The event, now in its 25th edition, is an extraordinary opportunity to explore virtual worlds, be inspired by interactive installations and incredible video mapping, and experience your creativity.
The Gustav Klimt Experience, housed in the 200-square-metre immersive hall, takes you into the fascinating and magnetic art of the extraordinary Austrian painter through impressive video projections and sophisticated digital technology. On display, every 60 minutes in rotation, are the artworks dedicated to the virtual worlds of four artists and collectives - Automatic Retro Impression by Ari Dykier (Poland), Auctus by Glowing Bulbs (Hungary), Landscape Fantasy by Emiko (Poland) and No Borders by LIZ of the FLxER collective (Italy), flanked by incredible video mapping such as Sacred Geometry #2 by Darklight Studio (VJ Eletroiman - Brazil), Colorama by Kanaka (Italy) and the BLIVET collective of RUFA students in Multimedia Arts and Design.
In the installation hall of the Casilino Sky Park, whose façade is animated by Zazarac's light-shadow play video projections, you can experience Particles, the interactive work by FLxER (Italy), with which you can create geometric shapes with a leap station, while through VR visors, you can immerse yourself in the evocative projects of 6 Egyptian and Palestinian artists of the virtual reality art exhibition Fantomas - VR Arab Science Fiction.
Also on the programme, on Saturdays and Sundays, are free workshops for the little ones, dedicated to immersive art, engraving and videomapping, electronic music, NO APP and astronomical stop motion, DJs and VJ sets of pop and space music by Luzy L (Toretta Stile), with digital/analogue images by artist Tzu ツツing, and electronic music by Lady Maru with videos by VJ Nikky, and, closing the festival, the visual performance Fuel by British artist Tobyz, inspired by a Berlin Love Parade.
