"Details are important. Too often, we exclude them, we evade them, accustomed to looking at the total, the whole, the complete, absorbed by our daily lives. In the displayed photographs, the camera lens is aimed at the search for the segment, the portion, the detail, which combined with other details, composes the totality of the dress, drawing the final work. , The detail becomes unique when taken out of context: it becomes an artwork. For those who frequent modern and contemporary art, it is possible, in these photographs, "to read" and recognize traits and styles of an artist." Roberto Galasso
The twenty shots in the exhibition scan the plots and gracefully resume the interiority, the spirit of yarn, sequins, and canvases. And open to investigation, reflection, and multiple understandings.
Roberto Galasso is a photographer of the Ministry of Culture and other contexts where there is an opportunity to combine reality and vision. Over the years, he has transversally documented the different fields of cultural heritage, often dedicating himself to photography of art and contemporary architecture. He finally went to demo-ethno-anthropological documentation, moved by the need to point his gaze through the objective of "the man who lives things" compared to "things lived by man."
