
Classical music at sunset, the Chamber Music Festival that the IUC (University Concerts Institution) organizes every summer in the headquarters of the Botanical Garden Museum of the "La Sapienza" University - in Largo Cristina of Sweden - a semi-hidden and silent place close of Palazzo Corsini alla Lungara, in the heart of Trastevere, is back.
They are 19 the concerts distributed over ten evenings in the evening until 25 July in one of the most fascinating places in the capital.
The festival presents some of the best young but already established Italian soloists and groups. This year the program is particularly rich and diversified: in addition to the tango, there are the masterpieces of chamber music by authors such as Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Enescu, Prokof'ev; Baroque music, opera, theatre, "lunar" concerts, Indian music, suggestions from Celtic and Persian word music and also popular music.
Among the guests we remember the pianists Luca Ciammarughi and Arturo Stalteri, the Shirvani Sisters duo, the flautist Andrea Oliva and the trumpeter Andrea Lucchi both first parts of the Santa Cecilia National Orchestra, the Romabarocca Ensemble, The Sound Pills and the Werther Quartet. Five concerts with the musicians of Avos Project, who renew their collaboration with the famous international music school. In addition, a tribute to Puccini and the world premiere of "Eve's Diary" by Mark Twain.
