The Christmas musical par excellence is staged at the Auditorium Conciliazione. Written and directed by Melina Pellicano and accompanied by the music of Stefano Lori and Marco Caselle, the show tells the story of the old Ebenezer Scrooge, a cynical and miserly banker who shuns human relationships.
Scrooge hates Christmas; even his nephew's dinner invitation can change his mind. On Christmas Eve, the ghost of his deceased partner Jacob Marley visits the man, announcing to him the visit of three spirits. The spirit of past Christmases shows him the mistakes of his past life; the one of today's Christmas shows him the happiness that Christmas gives off, while the spirit of Christmas to come shows him the horrendous fate that awaits him if he does not change his way of life. After this visit, Scrooge wakes up on Christmas morning profoundly changed in his soul. From now on, he will celebrate Christmas and not miss any opportunity to do good.
The contrast between Scrooge's solitude and comfort and the serenity and modest social situation of the other characters communicates that the richness of the mind is true wealth. Christmas, therefore, represents the right moment to reflect and change for the positive.
The program may undergo changes.
