1000 Miglia 2024

Founded in 1927 as a speed race from the intuition of Giovanni Canestrini, Franco Mazzotti, Renzo Castagneto and Aymo Maggi, the 1000 Miglia is today the race par excellence for historic cars that passes through the most picturesque scenery in Italy.

The race is a unique journey along the classic route from Brescia to Rome and back amidst the warmth of the public and the enthusiasm of the participants, in keeping with the traditional innovative spirit of its origins; an experience that sees the splendid cars, unique pieces of art and design, moving along a fascinating route.

Leg 1

The 2024 edition of the Freccia Rossa departs from Brescia on Tuesday 11 June and passes through Bergamo, Novara and Vercelli before arriving in Turin for the first stage finish.

Leg 2

On the second day, the convoy will start its descent southwards, passing through the Langhe region and through the centre of Acqui Terme before heading to Genoa, a new addition to the 1000 Miglia 2024, where the crews will stop for lunch. Continuing along the Tyrrhenian coast, the race will reach the finish in Viareggio.

Leg 3 in Rome

The third stage will see the descent towards Rome: the race will turn inland via Lucca until the lunch break in Castiglione della Pescaia. In the afternoon the entry into Lazio with the passage through Marta, Viterbo and Ronciglione and the conclusion in Rome in Via Veneto.

Leg 4

With the fourth stage, the crews will drive up to Orvieto and then Solomeo, the venue for lunch. After the break, it will be the turn of Siena and Prato and the Futa and Raticosa passes, which will precede the arrival in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna).

Final day

On the final day of Saturday, 15 June, the route will touch Ferrara, Bovolone and VillaFranca, then Lake Garda with the Valtenesi and Salò to finish with the classic catwalk in Viale Venezia in Brescia.
