The Italian Capital City ranks at the top of the annual ranking of the 100 best cities to visit in the world in 2023 drawn up by Euromonitor International, a leading provider of business information, market analysis and insights into service users, and with over 50 years of strategic market research in more than 100 countries.
In compiling the ranking, in collaboration with the data company Lighthouse, Euromonitor International took into account key parameters such as economic and business performance, tourism performance, tourism infrastructure, tourism strategy and attractiveness, health, safety, and sustainability.
In the Top 10, therefore, the Eternal City with its magic, millenary history and most visited and iconic monuments such as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum, symbol of the city and one of the seven wonders of the world, could certainly not be missing.
In addition to Rome, Italy features six times in the ranking of the 100 best cities in the world with cities such as Milan (13th), Florence (29th), Venice (37th), Verona (75th) and Bologna (76th).
