
The Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra presents its latest album Nova Era at the New Auditorium Parco della Musica. The group, specializing in Gipsy, Klezmer, Balkan and Mediterranean music, has in it artists of different nationalities and mixes the Catalan, Greek, Italian, Russian and Middle Eastern traditions with the vibrations of jazz manouche and rockabilly.
The unique and original style of the Gipsy Balkan Orchestra derives from its passionate and continuous exploration of the sounds and timbres of different musical traditions and multiethnic cultures, which goes beyond all geographical boundaries, giving us extraordinary arrangements in which each instrument has its place and its own. space. The songs thus arouse a wide spectrum of emotions in tune with a captivating and engaging rhythm.
The BGKO is composed of Margherita Abita (vocals, Italy), Julien Chanal (guitar, France), Ivan Kovacević (double bass, Serbia), Stelios Togias (percussion, Greece), Dani Carbonell (clarinet, Catalonia-Spain), Olexander Sora (violin, Ukraine) / Pere Nolasc Turu (violin, Catalonia-Spain), and Fernando Salinas Olcoz (accordion, Spain).
