Forces of Fashion 2024

After last year's success, Vogue Italia announces the second Italian edition of Forces of Fashion, the global event created by Vogue to tell the world of fashion through the voices of its protagonists.

Rome, therefore, once again becomes the capital of fashion and a reference point for artists, enthusiasts and professionals who, on 26 October at the Mattatoio, will celebrate fashion as a means of promoting change and creating bonds.

Masterclasses, panels and conversations will see some of the most important protagonists among journalists, stylists, influencers and leaders of the sector who, together, will discuss future trends. Forces of Fashion is also a unique opportunity for young people studying at the Academies in Rome who dream of working in this prestigious sector.

This edition's theme is ‘The power of the Runway’, the fashion show as a cultural element, a witness to major social changes and an imaginative tool for interpreting current events. In fact, it is thanks to the runway show that the story of the fashion professions comes to life, which not only move before, after and during a show, but also work within the sector on a daily basis: from sartorial attention to the lesser-known professions that contribute to the Made in Italy craftsmanship chain, to show and participate all together in this great creative universe.

This event is part of the ROMA SMART TOURISM project, promoted by Roma Capitale with funding from the Ministero del Turismo within the framework of the fund in favour of municipalities with a cultural, historical, artistic, and landscape vocation, in whose territories are located sites recognised by Unesco as World Heritage Sites. The event, with free admission upon registration, is realised thanks to the collaboration and support of the Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda di Roma Capitale, institutional partner of the initiative.
