The Auditorium Parco della Musica hosts the great German composer and director, who returns to Rome with a new musical theatre show as part of the Romaeuropa Festival.
At the centre of Liberté d'Action are the texts of the extraordinary poet and painter Henri Michaux, one of the greatest non-conformist talents of 20th century European art. Michaux was born in Belgium in the late 19th century and died in Paris in 1984. He experienced hallucinogens trying to communicate the inexpressible.
The brilliant and visionary contemporary composer creates a refined scenic concert for voice, live electronics and two pianos, accompanied by a sensational play of lights and technology. On stage, the German-Swiss actor David Bennent gives voice to the poet's suggestive, intimate and fantastic words, accompanied by the pianists of the Ensemble Modern, the famous musical formation founded in 1980.
