"Love opens the gates to the inner zoo that we carry inside.
It activates the wolf, the crocodile and the siren in us; it makes us close relatives of the werewolf, the crow, and the wild donkeys, makes the phoenix and the unicorn credible. "
Vinicio Capossela
The magical setting of the Circus Maximus, as part of the Teatro dell'Opera Summer Season, hosts the extraordinary concert of the refined artist, accompanied by the Maderna Orchestra conducted by Maestro Stefano Nanni.
Capossela presents his "Bestiario d'amore" (Bestiary of love), a work, original and ironic, inspired by the literary composition of Richart de Fournival, a poet of the 1200s. The album, released in 2020, is a musical poem that concludes the journey into the fantastic Middle Ages, which began in 2019 with “Ballate per uomini e bestie” (Ballads for men and beasts).
Starting from the album and themes inspired by de Fournival work, a suggestive concert comes to life in one of the most spectacular archaeological contexts in the world. "Bestiario d'amore" is an opportunity to explore love in all its forms, in this time characterized by distancing, drawing on a repertoire that, in 2020, turned thirty.
Singer-songwriter, poet, and writer: Capossela, born in Hanover from parents of Irpinia origins, crosses the boundaries between different artistic expressions, dedicating himself to music, writing, radio and cinema.
