On Saturday, June 6th, Lungo il Tevere ... Roma (Along the Tiber ... Rome), the eagerly anticipated summer event that unfolds along the banks of the Tiber River, enlivening it with culture, music, and food returns, offering a dive into fun and entertainment, in the spirit of conviviality, from Ponte Sublicio to Ponte Sisto. Now in its 24th year and organized by the La Vela d'Oro Cultural Association, the event features a rich calendar of events, including exhibitions, book presentations, musical and theatrical performances, cultural organizations, talk shows, fashion, with stands stocked with curiosities, artisanal works, and numerous refreshment options.
The cultural centre of the event is the Salotto Tevere (Tevere Sitting Room), a space dedicated to concerts, cultural events, theater, and book presentations that every evening, starting June 10th, welcomes artists, journalists, writers, and leading figures from the Italian cultural scene. A true open-air salon, therefore, designed to foster dialogue, creativity, and sharing on the banks of the Tiber.
