
In order to hold the scheduled celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy, Piazza Venezia will be closed to traffic from 8am on Friday 25 April. The traffic ban has also been extended to Piazza di San Marco, Via dei Fori Imperiali (between Largo Corrado Ricci and Piazza Venezia) and Via del Teatro Marcello (from Via delle Tre Pile to Piazza Venezia), with detours for bus lines H, C3, 8, 30, 40, 44, 46, 51, 60, 62, 63, 64, 70, 80, 81, 83, 85, 87, 118, 119, 160, 170, 190F, 492, 628, 715, 716, 781 and 916F.
By order of the Questura di Roma, the Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali and the archaeological area of the Imperial Fora will remain closed to the public from the morning until all needs cease. The temporary closure will also affect the entrance to the Colosseum Archaeological Park from Trajan’s Column. With the exception of the affected area, the Colosseum Archaeological Park will remain open for the entire day for all holders of a valid ticket.
