It will be Noemi, Ermal Meta and BigMama, with the participation of physicist and social media star Vincenzo Schettini, to conduct, starting at 3 p.m., the 2025 edition of the May Day Concert, which this year, after the completion of the restoration of the monumental Roman square, returns to its historic location in Saint John Lateran.
The line up of the concert is still being defined, but the musical proposal will be, as usual, very rich, and will see the most popular artists and musical genres ranging from rap to pop to rock take turns on stage.
Also not to be missed are the performances by the three winning artists of the 1MNEXT Contest.
Since 1990, the traditional May Day concert has taken place on Workers‘ Day, organised by the three main Italian trade unions to celebrate workers’ rights, focusing on social themes and contemporary music.
Traditionally known as the ‘Concertone’, each edition attracts thousands of spectators from all over Italy and abroad, thanks also to the extremely rich line-up that sees the most famous artists of the contemporary music scene perform on stage.
The eagerly awaited live event always had as its backdrop the sumptuous neoclassical façade of San Giovanni in Laterano, the oldest of the four main basilicas of the Eternal City.
As in previous editions, the concert is free admission and will be broadcast live in its entirety by RAI 3 and RAI Radio2.
