On 1st January, great music kicks off the New Year at the Auditorium Conciliazione, which hosts the evocative concert dedicated to the music of the legendary Italian composer.
On stage, the prestigious Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Giacomo Loprieno, accompanied by talented soloists, the first chairs of prestigious theatres and major Italian musical institutions - such as Maestro Ferdinando Vietti, cello, and Maestro Stefano Benedetti, trumpet - special guests, as the soprano Anna Delfino in Deborah's Theme and, in the solo of Love Affair, Attila Simon, violinist of the Circle du Soleil, together with the narrating voice of the actor Andrea Bartolomeo.
On the programme are Ennio Morricone's unforgettable melodies from his most famous soundtracks - Mission, The Legend of 1900, Once Upon a Time in the West, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time in America, For a Few Dollars More and Malena - to pieces such as Gli Intoccabili, La Califfa (The Lady Caliph), Canone inverso and songs composed for iconic performers such as Mina, Dulce Pontes and Joan Baez, performed in an original symphonic version, accompanying the audience on a journey through time in the Maestro's immense musical heritage, among notes, words, emotions and solo performances.
