11th Rome 15K

Appointment at 9.00 a.m. in Viale delle Terme di Caracalla on the starting line of the XI Rome 15K, the road race with the most evocative and fascinating technical and challenging course in the world.

Rome 15K is a unique event with a strong international appeal that winds its way through the most iconic streets of the historic centre. After the start in Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, the race will run along the Lungoteveres, then for long, flowing stretches, to immerse itself in the heart of the Eternal City, touching on Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, the streets of the Trident and the Colosseum, until the finish at the Baths of Caracalla.

The event is divided into two competitive and non-competitive races, the Rome 15K, over a distance of 15 kilometres, and the Rome 5K, over a distance of 5 kilometres, valid for the awarding of the Fidal Lazio Regional Championship titles, Assoluto and Categoria.

The athletes competing are over 2500 and come from all over Italy and 38 foreign countries.

The start for the 15K athletes will be given at 9.00 a.m. sharp from the Terme di Caracalla Stadium, while for the 5K participants it will be 9.20 a.m. sharp.

The Rome 15K-Nuova Ford Puma can also be experienced on Friday 8 November  ̶  from 12 noon to 6 p.m.  ̶  and Saturday 9 November  ̶  from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  ̶  athletes, companies and sponsors will be able to meet at the event's Expo set up inside the Nando Martellini Stadium at the Baths of Caracalla, where, in addition to the traditional bib pick-up, there will be a number of stands and numerous collateral initiatives to arrive at the race in an atmosphere of cohesion and participation.

Among the projects supported by the Rome 15K-Nuova Ford Puma, is Run to Befree, the free run that carries out projects in favour of women's rights and empowerment and promotes running (and sports walking) as a capacity-building tool and a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of the issue of gender violence. For this reason, the Rome 15K-Nuova Ford Puma will have a starting portal with 2 arches to put men and women on the same line. A special starting point dedicated to women and girls coming out of situations of violence who, by approaching the race, will have the opportunity to reduce stress and states of anxiety.
