The Museo Storico della Fanteria hosts Mirò - Il costruttore di sogni (The dream-maker), a fascinating journey through the creative world of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Mirò, an extraordinary exponent of the Surrealist current, with Picasso and Dalì, forms the famous triptych of Spanish artists who changed the course of art history with their astonishing creations.
The anthological exhibition dedicates a section to his collaboration with the famous magazine Derrière le Miroir, published by the legendary Maeght Gallery, for which the great artist created true graphic masterpieces. The section is accompanied by paintings, drawings, ceramics, books and photographs documenting his entire creative journey.
Miró - Il costruttore di sogni recounts the figure of Joan Miró through a selection of works that recount the adventure in the joie de vivre of the singer of warmth, sign, and the joyful and playful aspect of art. His works are not just images, but sensations, immediate emotions and suggestions.
Mirò - Il costruttore di sogni features loans from important Spanish and French museums and counts around 80 works including paintings, temperas, watercolours, drawings, sculptures and ceramics, as well as a series of graphic works, books and documents.
The exhibition also includes an important section of photos and videos that recount the private and public life of the great master of European Surrealism.
