This year the appointment with the Cinema Nights in Piazza Vittorio is renewed, the historic event conceived and organized by Anec Lazio, the National Association of Cinema Exhibitors of Lazio.
The event, now in its 24th edition, presents the best films of the latest cinema season which, very often, are accompanied by the presence of exceptional guests. The open-air cinema, which seats up to 600 people, confirmed its position at the top of the Lazio arena rankings in terms of attendance last year. Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, the Cinema revolution formula promoted by the Ministry of Culture is planned, which offers the possibility of reliving the emotions of the big screen with a ticket at a popular price: €3.50 for all Italian, European and English. The special Vivispettacolo subscription is new (10 entries for €40.00).
The appointments with the guests, who intervene before and after the screening of the film for an in-depth analysis of the work and to answer questions from the public, are organized by Franco Montini, with the collaboration of Francesco Crispino. Among the names scheduled in the first month of programming in Piazza Vittorio are Matteo Garrone, Giovanni Veronesi, Neri Marcorè, Margherita Vicario and Paolo Virzì.
In addition to the screenings, the arena also includes many others socio-cultural events and initiatives that act as a corollary to the cinema, organized in collaboration with the Piazza Vittorio APS Association: among these recreational-sports activities, in collaboration with CONI, folk dances in the square, curated by "Le danze di Piazza Vittorio", bi-weekly presentations of books, performances and art, with the traditional review La Porta Magica (The Magic Door), curated by Esquilino Poesia A.P.S., and the literary-philosophical events organized every Thursday by the Rotondi Bookshop.
