The famous jazz and classical pianist returns to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone as part of the Roma Summer Fest 2024 with Piano Solo, the unmissable and thrilling live show representing a hymn to improvisation.
Completely free, Stefano Bollani takes the stage of the Cavea and, in an extraordinary fusion of notes, plays with music, "reinterpreting" it each time: without a setlist, the concert comes to life with a surprising medley of jazz and Italian repertoire classics, including songs by Maestro Carosone, Brazilian music and tracks from Blooming, the album released in 2023 and dedicated to rebirth and spring, accompanying the audience on a magical and unexpected musical journey.
After graduating in piano at the Conservatory of Florence, Bollani established himself in the jazz world, playing on the world's most famous stages, such as Town Hall in New York, La Fenice in Venice, La Scala in Milan and Umbria Jazz, and performing with prestigious symphony orchestras, including the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestra di Santa Cecilia di Roma, the Orchestre National de Lyon and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He collaborated with artists such as Pat Metheny, Gato Barbieri, Richard Galliano, Sol Gabetta, Phil Woods, Luis Bacalov, Lee Konitz, Bill Frisell, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso and Chick Corea.
A brilliant musician, composer, author, TV host and actor, he boasts an extraordinary career that has earned him numerous prizes and awards, including a European Jazz Prize, a Nastro d'argento, the Tenco Prize and the Los Angeles Excellence Award for Italian culture in the world.
