Born with the intention of telling, knowing and sharing the memory and history of the twentieth century and of Rome, the Casa della Memoria e Storia is a multidisciplinary cultural center, rich in stories from different generations, the result of the activities and management of associations, direct witnesses of the Roman anti-fascist and democratic experience who carry on their research, documentation, teaching and historical dissemination work.
The library is specialized in the history of the twentieth century and of the two world wars, anti-fascism, resistance, German occupation, deportations and massacres, war of liberation, history of the Italian Republic, Shoah, biographical and autobiographical memories, didactics of memory.
The public can have bibliographic information and advice on SBN; reading and study of the works in the library; loan; photocopy service; newspaper library.
Conference room and video projections; exhibition space for exhibitions.
Cultural activities and promotion of reading; guided tours; coffee-break point on the terrace.
