Established in 1964 it promotes congresses and seminars on the history of people from Fiumi, Istria and Dalmatia and organizes cultural events with those lands that today are part of Slovenia and Croatia. Together with the Associazione per la Cultura Fiumana, Istriana e Dalmata nel Lazio (Association for the Culture of Fiume, Istria and Dalmatia in Latium), it is in charge of the Archivio-Museo Storico di Fiume (Historical Archive-Museum of Fiume) in the same seat.
