From 27 to 31 May, the world’s greatest riders and horses return to Piazza di Siena, in the splendid Villa Borghese, for the 93rd Official International Horse Competition of Rome - Master d'Inzeo, organised by FISE and Sport e Salute.
The prestigious competition, which made its debut in Piazza di Siena in 1922, celebrates its 100th anniversary since its official listing in 1926, when the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) included the Rome horse show in the international calendar.
Open to the public and completely free, the historical equestrian circuit, inaugurated on 27 May with the traditional sunset concert, features the intense competition of the world’s top show jumping combinations, who, from 28 May until the eagerly awaited Rolex Grand Prix Rome on Sunday 31 May, will compete for the rich prize money in an even more extraordinary edition, enriched by a calendar of unmissable events.
Once again this year, the event is strongly committed to environmental rehabilitation and protection, with bio-architecture designed to respect a site unique in the world and to make sustainability its primary goal.
Amidst majestic architecture, works by great masters of art and enchanting green spaces, Piazza di Siena has been the setting for legendary challenges in Italian equestrianism, featuring great champions such as the d’Inzeo brothers and Graziano Mancinelli, who, along with many other standard bearers of this noble sport, competed on the ground of this magnificent court.
