With the decree of the Cardinal Vicar Camillo Ruini dated 19 March 1992, the new parish named St Maximilian Kolbe, formerly a chapel of the parish of St Gregory the Great and now disunited from its territory, was established.
Fr Luigi Coluzzi, of the diocesan clergy of Rome, is assigned as the first parish priest. The particular location does not limit the activity of the new community, but on the contrary is the cue for a strong commitment, both within the community itself and perhaps even stronger outside the structure, even though it is very limited.
1992 saw the birth of the very active and enthusiastic youth group, which works above all in the social field and in the formation of an effective youth ministry. Various experiences arose in collaboration with the Charismatic, Neocatechumenal and Militia of the Immaculate movement.
On 14 February 2001, by decree of Cardinal Vicar Camillo Ruini, the name of the parish was changed to its current name of Holy Face of Jesus.
In the year 2006, on 25 March, the feast day of the Annunciation of the Angel to Mary, the new church with the attached parish house was finally dedicated by Cardinal Vicar Camillo Ruini.
