The Direction of the National Museums of the City of Rome is a local branch of the General Direction for Museums and it guarantees on the territory of its competence "the performance of the public service of fruition and valorisation of the institutes and places of culture entrusted to the State or to the State in any case entrusted in management, including those belonging to the institutes mentioned in art. 33, paragraph 2, letter a, and paragraph 3".
