Founded in June 2026 following the purchase and transfer of Pallacanestro Brescia’s sporting licence by the American entrepreneur Paul Matiasic, Maxima Roma is an Italian men’s basketball club based in Rome.
In the 2026–2027 season, the team is competing in Lega Basket Serie A, the top tier of the Italian basketball league, and in the BKT EuroCup, the second most important European competition organised by Euroleague Basketball, just behind the EuroLeague.
At the Palazzo dello Sport in the EUR district, which hosts the club’s main home matches, the team will face Umana Reyer Venezia on 21 October in the Italian derby, which counts towards matchday four of Group B in the BKT EuroCup.
