Diversity Media Awards 2026

The Oscars of inclusion. A unique, free-to-attend show celebrating positive and inclusive representations of diversity in the media.

For the first time, the Diversity Media Awards come to Rome, taking place at La Nuvola, the prestigious conference centre in the heart of the EUR district. On 18 September, the event celebrates personalities and media content that contribute to an authentic, respectful and empowering representation of diversity.

The Diversity Media Awards recognise those who stand out for their representation of issues including gender and gender identity, sexual and romantic orientation, physical appearance, ethnicity, age and generations, and disability. The 2026 edition features 14 categories, and voting has now closed: the winners will be announced on 18 September.

The awards are promoted by Diversity, an organisation founded in 2013 as a non-profit association and established as a foundation in 2022. Its mission is to foster a culture of inclusion and promote a vision of society in which plurality and differences are recognised as valuable resources.

The Foundation’s work spans communications, research, monitoring, training and advocacy, through collaborations with universities, research institutes, public institutions, businesses and national and international non-governmental organisations.

The Diversity Media Awards therefore represent an important moment of recognition and awareness-raising, highlighting narratives that help make the media more thoughtful, inclusive and representative of contemporary society.

At La Nuvola in Rome on 18 September, the spotlight is on the stories and people who celebrate the value of diversity through the media.
