ORBITA | Spellbound. Scintille. The part is a Whole - Dance season 2026

Entirely dedicated to contemporary dance, as usual, the 2026 season of ORBITA | Spellbound Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza consists of 12 events that, from January to May, explore parallel worlds and shared visions: four months of programming in four venues scattered throughout the city – Teatro Ambra Jovinelli, Spazio Rossellini, Teatro Biblioteca Quarticciolo and Teatro Palladium.

The title chosen to represent the new program of events is Scintille (Sparks). The part is a Whole. Although they may seem ethereal and insubstantial, imaginaries have the power to penetrate deep within us and shape the reality we live in. When they move from private vision to sharing, the energy is disruptive and the transformation is collective. However, to slip from the part to the whole, sometimes a spark is needed, a brief flash of light that can make a multitude feel, at the same time, the possibility of changing the course of events. Being together, joining forces, means feeding that spark and make it blaze into new worlds of extraordinary and intrepid beauty.

Each of the shows in the program is a stage in a journey that invites us to scan clichés, expectations and priorities, reminding us that alongside the sense of powerlessness there is a plural dimension that calls us to be there, in all its forms, including that of rejoicing together when it no longer seems possible.
