From March 15 to 30, 2026, the Palladium Theatre will host the 16th International Dante Festival, bringing together academics and artists on stage to offer insights, curiosities, and previews regarding the most recent intersections between performing, audiovisual, photographic, and digital arts and Dante's works. The Festival has its central evening on Saturday, March 21st, inaugurating the Dante celebrations planned every year throughout the world during the week of Dantedì, March 25th.
The evening's highlights also include the eagerly awaited short plays, short films, and photographic works that are finalists in the "Alta Fantasia" Dante Prize (the Festival's original format): this award is the result of the annual competitions for young students under 20 and university students under 30. Since 2010, the Dante Festival has promoted the encounter between art and Dante's works through theatrical and film productions, exhibitions, meetings, competitions, and artistic residencies. Since 2010, 15 national editions, 3 university editions, 4 Tuscan editions, and 1 Lazio edition have been held, while the Festival's YouTube channel has surpassed 100,000 views.
