Kool & The Gang

On 21 July, the famous US band will perform at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone for the only Italian date of their 2026 international tour, as part of the Roma Summer Fest programme.

On the stage of the Cavea, Kool & the Gang will take the audience on an irresistible journey to the rhythm of the most iconic songs from their repertoire, such as Celebration, Get Down on It, Ladies’ Night, Too Hot, Joanna, Cherish and Fresh.

Founded in New Jersey in the first half of the 1960s, Kool & the Gang released their self-titled debut album in 1969, achieving popularity in 1974 with hits such as Jungle Boogie and Summer Madness. Their major international success came in the late 1970s with the album Ladies’ Night, followed by Celebrate!, Something Special, As One, In the Heart and Emergency, which made them one of the symbols of funk, soul and R&B music.

The band, which continues to keep the world dancing, boasts over half a century of extraordinary artistic history: over 70 million records sold, 31 gold and platinum certifications, inductions into the most prestigious Halls of Fame, and accolades such as two Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards.
