
The innovative Greek choreographer Ermira Goro lands at the Romaeuropa Festival, staging a national premiere at the Rome’s Mattatoio. Her new performance is a dance of dreams and freedom with the two dancers Chara Kotsali and Adonis Vais and original music by Jeph Vanger.
Specialising in movement, dance and performance, Ermira Goro graduated from the National School of Dance in Greece and continued her training in New York. From 2007 to 2018, she collaborated with the world-renowned DV8 Physical Theatre as a performer, teacher, and Research and Development / Choreography Assistant. Internationally acclaimed for her imaginative and unique approach, Ermira Goro constantly explores new forms of expression to convey her ideas, creating interdisciplinary performances that captivate and inspire.
In Sirens, she invites the audience on a sensual and mysterious journey into the world of desire and its social expression. Chara Kotsali and Adonis Vais transform themselves on stage, expressing through their movement a story of dreams and freedom. The two bodies appropriate and reject stereotypical gender roles, creating an idiosyncratic language of self-expression.
