The Sempre Più Fuori 2025 (More and more Outside 2025) festival of literature, music, cinema, performing arts, and site-specific installations is a blend of moving languages and therefore, more than a festival, it can be defined as a true cultural platform that unites artistic excellence, research, and accessibility.
The event aims to delineate a fluid, vibrant, and participatory geography of contemporary art that transcends national borders. The festival's different disciplines—theater, music, dance, film, literature, visual arts, and photography—intersect in a multidisciplinary program capable of renewing the dialogue between experimentation and tradition, resulting in a collective narrative that is simultaneously reflection and sharing. The festival is therefore an invitation to step outside—and increasingly outside—the norm, the familiar, and our own boundaries, to rediscover together the transformative power of art.
The venues at the heart of the event are the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo and the Goethe-Institut Rom, with their spaces of exceptional beauty and identity, joined this year by significant urban settings, such as the Verano Monumental Cemetery and the Policlinico Umberto I. All these locations, during the festival, are transformed into "cultural islands", crossroads of exchange and relationships, where emerging artists and internationally renowned names forge new connections between works, territories, and audiences.
Finally, we remind you that the festival venues also feature a food and drink station run by the historic Centocelle restaurant La Cantina di Dante, offering reinterpretations of Roman cuisine, and Radio Frammenti, which will be following the event with dedicated content.
Sempre più fuori is produced by Giant in collaboration with the German Academy of Rome Villa Massimo, the Goethe-Institut Rom, and Cranpi; with the patronage of Municipio II – Rome Capitale; with the support of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Germany) and the Alta Mane Italia Foundation; with the collaboration of Al.Di.Qua Artists, AMA Cimiteri Capitolini, ATCL – Theatre Association of the Municipalities of Lazio, National Institute for the Deaf – Rome section (ENS), Letterature – Rome International Festival, Lutetia/Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, R.A.C.
