Ponte Tor di Quinto

It was built in 1960 to a design by Vito Camiz, on the occasion of the 17th Olympic Games, to connect Via Olimpica with the Acqua Acetosa sports facilities; it is a road bridge over the Tiber River in Rome, between the Parioli and Tor di Quinto districts. Constructed entirely of reinforced concrete, it is crossed by Via del Foro Italico, a section of the eastern ring road, and is part of a viaduct about 300 m long and developed over seven spans, one of which is the bridge that spans the Tiber with a span of about 72 m. The name is inspired by an ancient watchtower that stood at the fifth mile of the Via Cassia, not far from the Tiber.
