Five thousand square metres in the centre of Rome: Pratibus District, a prestigious industrial location, hosts Japan Days in Town, a festival on the world of the Rising Sun suspended between the elegant tradition of classical Japan and the colourful hyper of contemporary pop culture.
The Japanese Market was born in May 2007 from the desire of a group of Japanese residents in Rome to create a meeting space and a container that could bring Japanese and Italian culture closer together.
An event that over the years has become a staple for all lovers of the culture, present and past, of that marvellous world with its millennial history.
For more than ten years, the Japanese Market has hosted, in addition to the traditional Japanese-themed market exhibition, a series of related activities that have transformed its appointments into a true festival of Japanese culture.
Among the activities in the rich programme of events:
- Showcase performances: shows and exhibitions of Japanese tradition.
- Experience: a small journey through the classics of ancient and modern Japan.
- Courses and Workshops: introductory courses in the arts of the Japanese tradition.
- Talks and Presentations: meetings with authors, copy signings and presentations.
- Activities and Entertainment: Snimation Jpop, Kpop, Arcade, Playground and more.
